have you ever watched tumbleweeds being blown by the wind? Do you wonder where they came from and where they will end up? One can think many thoughts about such things. Writing on a blog is similar to writing notes and attaching them to a tumbleweed. One nevr knows where they wind up.

hunting

OK Kim here is the new post. Since you girls all thought me to be naughty as a child I jkguess I will continue my confessions. This takes place when I was 13. I loved to hunt rabbits and would go every week. I had to walk about amile to get to the hunting grounds. There were very few houses so people were not a problem..There was one man who lived where i would hunt and he didnt like people to be around his house. He told me that I coulnt hunt anymore and I told him he didnt own the whole country and that it was not against the law to hunt on statae property. He told me that if I every came back he fdwould sic his dogs on me. This din not deter me. The nefxt week I went hunting with my cousin and I told him taht Mr. Jjohnson might sic his two dogs on us,but never fear we went hunting. Mr. Johnson did indeed sic his dogs on us. They came racing towards me barking and growling. It was a bit scarry. I thought what do I do now. Flash shoot the dog so I did. It was just a flesh wound the dog survived so did I

ok kim

Ok Kim I will write a post . I am glad you are persistent. It is a good charactoristic to have. You asked me to write about burning down the barn. It was like this. I was 11 and we lived in Sutherland, Utah. Sutherland is 5 miles from Delta. This farming country so most homes had corrals and out buildings surrounding the house. My brothers and I decided we would play cowboys and Indians one afternoon. We did this quite often. I was an Indian andmy brothers were cowbys. We would hide and chase each other around the corral and other out buildings having a good time. I decided that as it was starting to get dark I needed a torch to see with. In the outhouse I got toilet paper and then wrapped it around a tree branch and lit it on fire.(it burns really well) I then ran around the yard chasing the cowboys. The wind started to blow and blew the fire around the corral. I decided I had better put out all of the flames and end the game. I thought I had everything under controll and we went inside. During the night the wind blew very hard and suppose ignited some embers from the torch and this stared the corral and out house on fire. They burned down. Needless to say I was in big trouble. I still like fires.

post election

I am glad the election is over. I feel that the campaigns are way to long and to much money is spent. I sometimes feel that the election is to much of a popularity contest rather than lets make America better. So Obama won.
whats next? I think we now have to all say he is our president andsupport him. I hope that he does truly have everyones intrest at heart. He is in a postion to do great things. I hope he is a Christian, and he is concerned about America. America has came a long ways in my life time. I can remember very well when Lester Maddox closed his restruant in Atlanta rather than let Blacks eat there. I remember how racist George Wallace was in the sixties and he ran for president. I remember when Mississippi State was integrated. Alot has changed in America in my life. I hope that we as Americans can all pull together for a better America. America is better than it was 40 years ago.

a good day

Yesterday Wade,Jack, Dan. and I went to the Cold Water Ranch. It is a beautiful place and one gets close to nature. We stopped and bought gas in Huntsville and I bought drinks and one package of crumb donuts. We all enjoyed our little donut. Jack said he loves donuts. Wade said he existed on crumb donuts while he went to college. Dan just ate his donut. Little things make us all happy. I also enjoyed my donut. When we arrived at the ranch we all four got into a four wheeler and headed up the mountain. It is a bit crowded with 4 people on the seaat of the Ranger. We went to the fishing hole. I gave Jack a little pole and reel that I have had for sometime. He was so happy and was so polite and nice saying thank you. We fished for a while but didnot have much sucess. Jack leaarned how to cast the lure and he had a good time. Dan just loves playing in the dirt. He picks up sticks and stones andis very interested in nature. He was so dirty in a matter of a few minutes. We stopped at one pond to see if the beaver had been working on the spillway and while we were walking Jack stepped in a cow pie. He told his dad the his boots had cow poop on them. Wade told dhim that they are not real cowboy boots until they have cow ---- on them. Anyway they aare really funny. Jack din not try to not step in the cow pies. After we fished we decided to look for deer and elk. It is great fun to drive and look over the beautiful country. We did see a couple of elk and the boys had great fun looking through the binoculars. Dan decided it was time for a nap and went to sleep. Wade had his hands full trying to drive and hold Dan. It was a glorious day in the mountains. Wade is a very good dad and he tries to make his boys love nature and he is always trying to teach them. The boys are very lucky. I look forward to more outings with the grandsons and maybe even the grand daughters. I think memories of such activites last for a life time
